Stock Eye / Custom Made Artificial Eye

There is a significant difference between a customized and readymade/ stock eye.

Stock Eye / Readymade Eye are the mass produced artificial eyes with predetermined size shape and colour (iris) and not recommended for the patient due to the lack of individual charactersticks. Do not provide the comfort, motility and the cosmatic details like the costumized ocular prosthesis/ Artificial eye.

These prosthesis may produce a lots of discomfort, ocular pain, excessive discharge and socket deformity in long run. On the other hand the customized artificial eyes are made with impression technique with individual charatersticks which provide excellant socket comfort, less discharge and unique shade matching.
